Is the capital of the Madre de Dios region in southeastern Peru. It is also known as the access road south of the Amazon jungle. The central tower of the Obelisk has a view from above to the city, along with exhibits of local history. On the bank of the Madre de Dios River, there is a busy ferry dock, near the Plaza de Armas. Near the city is the biodiverse National Reserve Tambopata that extends through the savanna and the ancient jungle.

The native population of Madre de Dios must have appeared thousands of years ago with the arrival of the Arawakes, who derived in many ethnicities. Then he would relate to the Incas and the Spaniards.

07.00 am

Arrival Time Puerto Maldonado, reception at the bus station and transfer to the office in the city for relevant information about the tour.

Transfer to the port where we will get the boat for an hour to our lodge. Welcome meeting with a refreshing fruit juice of our region. Installation in our respective rooms.

After a restful rest, you will have as an introduction a walk for two hours in the dense tropical forest, guided by an expert local guide, who will take you through our trails and you will appreciate a variety of trees that can be more than five hundred years old, as well as Also, you can observe some species of wild animals such as: toucans, orioles, macaws, monkeys, snakes, butterflies, etc. You will have the opportunity to live the magic of our Amazon rainforest that is within the TAMBOPATA NATIONAL RESERVE, (278,000 thousand hectares protected).

After lunch, we will visit the "Monkey Island", located in front of our Lodge crossing the Madre de Dios River where we will find different species such as the family of Capuchin monkeys that live on the island and return to the Lodge.

At night we will go in search of white alligators that are usually found on sandbars, in the Madre de Dios River, for which it will be necessary to carry a flashlight. Also, we can see the capybara the largest rodent in the world that can weigh 60 kilos, return to the lodge, dinner and rest.

After breakfast we will walk 3 km. In the middle of the dense rainforest and we will go to the Sandoval Lake (habitat of piranhas) one of the largest in the Tambopata National Reserve and we will ride a rowing boat where we will appreciate a great variety of birds and monkeys of different species, (shansho, cormorant, jacanas, puma garza, chickens, cotomono, monk friar, black machin, pichicos and lazy). Perhaps we will have an encounter with the giant otter family (almost two meters long) that is in danger of extinction and the largest alligators recorded more than 4 meters long, return to the Lodge to enjoy the typical lunch.

In the afternoon we will return to the city, transfer to the bus station.
